e-mail

That's really cool. If I could cook I would try.. :)"
Wow! :))))

My main inspiration while writing fairytales is the music of Two steps from hell: a Norwegian and a British composer make up this team and they write epic music or trailer music. You could imagine this as the music of a gradiose, neverending fantasy movie, I put my "EPIC" playlist to repeat mode and as long as the music flows, I'm just writing and writing. As Thomas Bergersen's song inspired my Enchantress chocolate (and of course the tale too) I looked up his e-mail address and I sent him the link of the post :) Some hours later the following answer arrived: "thank you for sharing! That's really cool. If I could cook I would try.. :)"
Wow! :))))

Hűtőbe rakom, míg megdermed, ezután lezárom a bonbonokat.

These bonbons are part of an order, but the filling became so yummy that I had to make some for ourselves too :) The idea came from Pralinéparadicsom, but I boosted it up a bit; what gets worse only because of a bit of alcohol? :D The colour of the filling reminded me of that of red cabbage, but fortunately the flavour didn't XD

Ingredients:
0,1 dl white rum
0,1 dl cream
30 gr blueberries
one small spoon of honey
some drops of lemon
100+150 gr white chocolate
luster dust and cocoa butter

Recipe:
First the blueberries get soaked in rum for one or two hours and I even squeeze them a bit so they absorb the alcohol even better.
I decorate the mould: I mix the melted cocoa butter with some purple luster dust and I put one dot in every cavity.
I prepare the filling: I mix the blueberries with honey, lemon drops and cream and I warm up the mixture. Before it starts boiling I put the pot on the counter and I add 100 gr of white chocolate. It is interesting to see how the white chocolate enhances the colours instead of fading them. I temper the leftover chocolate, I prepare the bonbon shells and after they get solid, I fill them. I put the mould in the fridge until the filling starts to set, then I seal the bonbons.

Alice és az égkék // Alice and the blue

20 gr feketeribizli
40 gr gianduia

Hűtőbe teszem néhány órára, végül lezárom a bonbonokat.

A város tornyai összezsugorodtak kék szemeiben, amint a felhők felé szállt, s látta, ahogy Alice mozdulatlanul ül az ablakában kék szemű macskájával s őt nézi.
Alice a kezébe vette a felhődarabot, s mintha halovány mosoly suhant volna át ajkain. Hanem a felhő abban a pillanatban elpárolgott, s ő visszaült az ablakhoz és ismét felsóhajtott.
- Mi mást tehetek még? – kérdezte a hűséges Beppe.
Eltörpült alant a soktornyú város, ahogy egyre magasabbra hágott.
– kérdezte a hűséges Beppe.
Kék szemeiben a soktornyú város egyre kisebb lett, ahogy az égbe szárnyalt, mialatt Alice lent, a háza ablakában ült kék szemű macskájával s várta a visszatértét. Beppe elérte a Holdat, letörte egyik kék sugarát, majd elrepült a város fölé magasodó domb irányába.
Alice a kezében tartotta a holdsugarat s felnevetett. Egész nap mosolygott, a másnap azonban ismét az ablaka alatt találta, ahol sóhajtozva ücsörgött.
A hűséges Beppe akkor karjai alá erősítette szárnyait.

How nice it is when one's mother-in-law supports one's chocolate addiction and buys her and entire jar of gianduia! Gianduia - just like many other good foods - is an Italian invention; it was first made in Turin, Piedmont, by a confectioner called Michele Prochet when he mixed his chocolate with ground hazelnuts and he saw that it was good :D The chocolate-hazelnut cream got its name from Gianduja, the typical Piedmontese figure, as the first confections were similar to his hat. Somehow like this:

Gianduia then made its career under the name Nutella, but let's stick to reality: Nutella contains palm oil in abundance, while real gianduia is made of hazelnuts, milk, sugar, cocoa and maybe natural aromas.
Naturally, before it will disappear in my stomach, in the special box reserved for chocolate, I had to try it in bonbons. Since the cream is sweet enough in itself, I chose a sour-fruity companion: blackcurrant.
The final product became just as bittersweet as spring snow and the following fairytale, which was inspired by an Italian song (see above) - I added a third one to the two verses just to be faithful to the structure of tales :) I think this is another proof of my love for the sky.

Ingredients:
20 gr blackcurrant
40 gr gianduia
200 gr white chocolate
luster dust, cocoa butter

Recipe:
I warm up the blackcurrants and sieve them so the seeds and the peels don't get into the puree.
I decorate the cavities of the mould with the mixture of luster dust and melted cocoa butter. I prepare the shells of tempered white chocolate, then I pour some drops of the puree in the bottom of them. This is covered with gianduia. I put them in the fridge for a couple of hours, finally I seal the bonbons.

Alice and the blue
Once upon a time in a far-away town with many towers lived a fair maiden, Alice. She dwelled in her old mansion on the hill above the town with the blue-eyed, faithful Beppe and with her blue-eyed, silver cat. And although beauty surrounded Alice – flowers bloomed in her sunlit garden, songbirds woke her every morning, from her balcony she could see the whole town – everything was in vain as she would never smile. Excluding the outer world she closed herself up in her room and sat in front of her window all day long, turning her face towards the sky. The faithful Beppe tried everything to cheer her up but he constantly failed. Alice was only sighing and gazing at the sky. She only needed something small, a little miracle in order to feel special and be happy finally.
On one lovely spring day the faithful Beppe asked at last, „Tell me what shall I do to see you smile, beautiful Alice?”
The maiden pointed towards the sky. „Look up in the blue, fly there and bring me a gramm of a cloud.”
Beppe then borrowed wings from the birds of the garden, fastened them under his arms and said, „Soon I will return with what you asked for,” and then he flew out of the window.
The towers of the town shrunk in his blue eyes as he floated towards the clouds, and he saw how Alice was sitting motionlessly in her window with her blue-eyed cat, watching him. He reached the first cloud, plucked a piece, then descended to the old mansion
Alice took the piece of cloud in her hands and it seemed that a faint smile passed over her lips. But in that moment the cloud evaporated and she sat back to the window and sighed again.
„What else can I do?” asked the faithful Beppe.
The maiden pointed towards the sky again.
„Look even higher, fly there and bring me a piece of the blue sky!”
Beppe then put on his wings again and said, „Allright, I will soon return with what you wish for,” then he flew out of the window.
Below him the town with the many towers shrivelled as he ascended higher and higher. Down there Alice sat motionlessly in the window with her blue-eyed cat and waited for his return. Beppe reached the sky, tore out a piece then floated down towards the garden.
As Alice took the blue of the sky in her hands, a happy smile spread on her beautiful face. However, one minute later she was sitting in the window again, fixing her gaze sadly on the clouds.
„What else could I do for you?” asked the faithful Beppe.
The maiden pointed towards the window.
„Look even higher, fly there and bring me a blue ray of the Moon!”
Beppe put his wings under his arms again.
„Soon I will return with what you asked for,” he said, then flew out of the window. The town with the many towers became smaller and smaller in his blue eyes as he soared in the sky, while down there Alice sat with her blue-eyed cat in the window of her house  and waited for his return. Beppe reached the Moon, broke off one of her blue rays then flew back towards the hill above the town.
Alice held the moonlight in her hands and laughed out. She was smiling all day long, but the next day found her in front of her window again, where she was sitting and sighing.
The faithful Beppe then fixed his wings under his arms.
„Goodbye, beautiful Alice!” he said then flew out of the window, up in the blue.

And Alice was sitting motionlessly with her blue-eyed cat in the window and waited, waited forever for his return.

I would like to ask all of my readers NOT to buy real bunnies for Easter, only in case they know how to take care of them! Rabbits can live up to ten years and they require similar caring as dogs or cats.

Természetesen a nevéből ered a Kelet elnevezése is a germán nyelvekben (East/Ost).

Kész is a csörgős, meglepetést rejtő csokitojás.

Néhány javaslat töltelékekhez húsvétra:
Barackos:
0,2 dl tejszín
0,3 dl barackpüré
1 kiskanál vaj
100 gr étcsoki
A tejszínt és a barackpürét együtt felforralom, hozzáadom a vajat, végül belekeverem az étcsokit. Ehhez lehet adagolni még pálinkát is ;)

Marcipánlikőrös:
0,2 dl tejszín
100 gr étcsoki
Felmelegítem a tejszínt, beletördelem a csokit.

Végül hozzákeverem a tejcsokit.

Easter, the celebration of fertility and rebirth is approaching. Its Germanic name (Easter/Ostern) comes from the English monk Bede, according to whom the old English name of April derived from a goddess called Eostre. Since he's the only one mentioning this goddess, we cannot be sure if she was really worshipped. The existence of a proto-Indo-European goddess with a similar name has been researched for a long while and her adoration can be traced through many location names. The name itself comes from the word dawn/light and according to the myths of several Indo-European stocks the "daughter of heaven" brought light to earth. Naturally the word East/Ost comes from her name too. Another theory says that Eostre and Freyja, the Norse goddess of beauty, fertility and love are the same.
The death and resurrection of the god/dess is not new either: Ishtar, the Mesopotamian goddess descended to the underworld, then she returned. Cybele's lover, Attis was born of a virgin, and he died and resurrected every year. Apart from them, many analogies can be found in the myths, which made their way in the Christian world.
Symbols connected to Easter, like eggs, rabbits and chicks are also the symbols of fertility and spring (although there are many different opinions about how rabbits became associated with it).

Here you'll find some ideas in case you'd like to prepare hand-made chocolate for your friends/relatives.
You can get various moulds in handicraft shops at this time, for instance these beautiful half eggs. We can decorate them with white chocolate and then make the shells of milk or dark chocolate - or the other way round. We can also get egg moulds made of two halves and by putting tempered chocolate in them, closing the halves and then turning the egg over and over for five minutes, we can get a hollow chocolate egg. If we want eggs filled with smarties, peanuts or other small sweets inside, then we have to "paint" the two halves separately with tempered chocolate, then put them upside down and wait for them to get dry. After we take them out of the mould, we put the smarties in them, we smear some tempered chocolate on the fringe of one half, then we put the two together.

Some ideas for filling:
Peach:
0,2 dl cream
0,3 dl peach puree
1 small spoon of butter
100 gr dark chocolate
I boil the cream and the puree together, and I add the butter, finally I put the chocolate in it. You may also add some alcohol ;)

Marzipan liqueur:
0,2 dl cream
100 gr dark chocolate
I warm up the cream and I put the chocolate in it. After it becomes a smooth mass, I add the liqueur so the alcohol doesn't evaporate.

Strawberry-cocoa:
0,2 dl cream
0,2 dl strawberry puree
100 gr milk chocolate
cocoa nibs
1 small spoon of butter
I boil the cream, the strawberry and I add the butter, then the cocoa nibs. Finally I mix the cream with the milk chocolate.

But you may also prepare fillings with sour cherry and marzipanraspberry and rose, or with any other springish flavour or fruit. Have fun!

I wish everyone Happy Easter!

ha én rózsa volnék

Ha én utca volnék, mindig tiszta lennék,

Minden áldott este fényben megfürödnék,

És ha egyszer rajtam lánckerék taposna,

Alattam a föld is sírva beomolna.

150 gr tejcsoki
50 gr fehércoki
transzferfólia
dekorgyöngyök
lüszterpor

Elkészítés:
Ugyanúgy, ahogy a videóban látható.

Ann elég konvencionális darabokat készített, én viszont kicsit lendületesebb, fiatalosabb táskát akartam, ezért lett féloldalas a fehércsoki rész. Ezt aztán úgy díszítjük, ahogy akarjuk - én egy csíkot festettem temperált csokiból a tetejére, és megszórtam dekorgyönggyel, szintén fehércsokiból csatot készítettem rá, amit lüszterporral festettem aranyra.
Végül következik a táska szíja: ezt is transzferfóliával készítettem, és a dermedés megfelelő pontján rögzítettem a táska két oldalához.

The idea of this chocolate bag comes from Ann Reardon's video. You can order the template at Ann's website, but I made my own - it is not that difficult and I like to deal with handicraft stuff. The bag itself is 11x21 cm, I cut it out of paper and half rolled up I drew around its edge, thus I got how big the sides of the bag should be. The top is the same in width, its length depends on how much you want it to cover the bag. The strap is 26x1.5 cm.

Ingredients:
150 gr milk chocolate
70 gr white chocolate
transfer sheet
decor pearls
luster dust

How to make it:

It is the same as in the video. First I prepared the sides of the bag and two small triangles to hold them in their place. When they got dry, I fixed them together. Afterwards I spread tempered chocolate on the transfer sheet and when it started to set, I placed the sides on it and I rolled the chocolate sheet around them. While making it, you have to be careful to bend the chocolate at the right moment: if it is too liquidish, then it will get smeared, if it is too hard, then it will break. The right moment is when the surface doesn't look wet, but matt.

I filled the bag with champagne bonbons and I prepared the top. Ann made quite conventional pieces, I wanted something more modern, that's why the white chocolate part is lop-sided. You can decorate it the way you want it - I painted a white cocolate stripe on the top and sprinkled it with decor pearls and I made a buckle of white chocolate, which I painted with golden luster dust. Finally I made the strap: I used the same transfer sheet for this too and I attached it to the two sides of the bag.

Erre jött a többi krém, végül némi hűtést követően lezártam a bonbonokat.

Whenever I travel to Italy (which happens quite often), I buy a jar of Venchi chocolate cream. Obviously the one with white chocolate is my favourite. Venchi's innovation is that they use olive oil in the cream, which might not sound very yummy at first, but if we add that this ingredient is used instead of palm fat/oil, it is much better, isn't it? :D Olive oil makes the hazelnut cream fusible (and healthier in case that counts at all when it comes to such products :D) and you can feel its flavour only a bit in the aftertaste. Which, in my opinion, fits quite well to the chocolate cream - the harmony of flavours is more sophisticated than in the case of the brutal palm fat.
Last time when I was abroad, I managed not to eat up the entire jar of cream at once and I left a bit for some bonbons. This is the outcome:

Ingredients:
150 gr milk chocolate (high cocoa percentage)
15-20 macadamia nuts
Venchi hazelnut cream

Recipe:
Very easy as we don't have to deal with preparing the cream itself :D The bonbon shells are made of milk chocolate and after they get dry, I put a drop of hazelnut cream in the bottom, and on it half of a macadamia nut. Then the rest of the cream comes and after some cooling I seal the bonbons. I have to say, since it's not the regular chocolate or hazelnut cream, this bonbon is very light and not too sweet.
