- Milyen lenne?! Olyan, ami mesél ha ránézel, mesél, ha megízleled.
- Egy csoki, amiről mesélni lehet?... hm.
- Ne legyél ilyen fantáziátlan! Szedd össze a kedvenc mesemotívumaidat.
- Rárajzolhatnálak téged például...
- Például. Szívesen.
- ......

A bonbonforma mélyedéseit kifestem világoskékkel. Miután a festék megszáradt, fogpiszkálóval mesefigurákat karcolok bele. Temperálom az étcsokit, elkészítem a bonbonburkokat. Megtöltöm őket a marcipánkrémmel, hűtőbe teszem a formát néhány órára. Végül temperált étcsokival lezárom a bonbonokat.

"After all, since you are constantly preaching about fairytale chocolate, why haven't you ever made a real fairytale chocolate?"
"Because having to take care of two kids..."
"Bad excuse. You make chocolate almost every weekend even like this."
"You're right... but what is a real fairytale chocolate like?"
"What would it be like?! Like it tells you a tale when you look at it, it tells you a tale when you taste it."
"A chocolate about which you can tell a tale?... hm."
"Don't be so unimaginative! Collect your favorite fairytale motifs."
"I could draw you on it, for instance."
"For instance. You're welcome."
"....."
Then the fairy living in my cupboard, retired among my bonbon molds.

Ingredients:
50 ml blueberry puree
10 ml cream
200 gr dark chocolate
100 gr marzipan
food paint

Recipe:
I blend the blueberries, then sieve them and take 50 ml of the puree. I pour 10 ml cream in it. I tear up the marzipan into little pieces, put it in the liquid, and warm the pot until the marzipan melts. Then I put it aside.
I paint the cavities of the mold with light blue. When the paint dries, I scratch fairytale motifs in it with a toothpick. I temper the dark chocolate, and I prepare the bonbon shells. I fill them with the marzipan cream and place the mold in the fridge for some hours. Finally, I seal the bonbons with tempered dark chocolate.

Advent IV

10 gr vaj
100 gr tejcsoki
2-3 db Mese keksz
cukorgyöngyök

Elkészítés:
Megolvasztom a tejcsokit, a vajhoz és kimért tejszínhez keverem.
Temperálom az étcsokit, elkészítem a bonbonok burkát. Megtöltöm őket félig a ganache-sal. Apró darabokra töröm a Mese kekszet, és minden bonbonban a csokis oldalával lefelé a ganache-ra helyezek néhány darabot. Temperálom a maradék étcsokit, lezárom a bonbonokat.

– Hiányzik a tízes! – kiáltott fel, és Pikára nézett. Letelepedtek a háztető ormára.
Pika felborzolta a tollait.
Karácsony éjjelén a Mikulás hótündérek csapatával indult útnak. Utcáról utcára, városról városra jártak, nesztelenül, sebesen látogatták a házakat.
– Akkor vezess! – mondta a leánynak.
Ekkor értek a tízes számú ház ablakához. Mikulás kesztyűs keze egyetlen érintésével kinyitotta, és bekukucskált. Tarin lélegzetvisszafojtva figyelte hátulról, amint a nagyszakállú feje eltűnik odabent, s egy darabig csak motoszkálásának neszeit lehetett hallani. Piros sapkája sziluettjét kirajzolták a szobában égő karácsonyi fények.

I made these bonbons for the Christmas celebration at my son's nursery, therefore I tried a very simple recipe. At first, I wanted to mix the biscuit pieces into the ganache, but then I gave up this idea because I didn't want them to get soaked. So finally I made a two-layer filling :)

Ingredients:
200 gr dark chocolate
50 ml cream
10 gr butter
100 gr milk chocolate
2-3 pcs Mese keksz (a gingerbread flavored linzer biscuit)
candy pearls

Recipe:
I melt the milk chocolate and mix it with the cream and the butter.
I temper the dark chocolate, I prepare the bonbon shells. I fill them halfway with the ganache. I break up the biscuits into little pieces and place a couple of them on the top of the ganache layer. I temper the leftover dark chocolate and I seal the bonbons. I take them out of the mold, and finally, I glue one candy pearl on the top of each bonbon with tempered dark chocolate.

"Number two, four, six, eight, twelve..." Tarin stopped short, floated back and went through the letters held in her hand again. "Number ten is missing!" she exclaimed and looked at Pika. They sat down on top of the roof.
"I told you that he doesn't believe," said the magpie. "Why did you expect him to write to Santa then?"
Tarin shrugged. "I was just hoping... What can we do with kids like him?"
Pika shook his feathers. "Not much."
"But then he won't get any presents?!" cried out the girl in horror.  "Even if he didn't write a letter, he could be a good child!"
"But Santa is not a mind reader," remarked Pika sharply.
Tarin didn't answer, she was deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about again?! I won't let you break the rules anymore!" The magpie pinched her arm. Tarin flew away still brooding, she didn't reply her companion. She restarted checking the letters, and when she was done, she went to the next street. It was late night by the time they returned to the north pole.
On Christmas eve, Santa went out with a group of snow fairies. They glided under a clear, crystal black sky and stars shining with a sharp light, to bring the awaited presents to all the children - just like they had been doing so for many years. Tarin flew with them for the first time, she could barely contain her excitement and she could hardly wait to deliver the surprises entrusted to her. They went from street to street, from town to town, noiselessly and quickly.
When they reached that particular house, Tarin hurried to the sleigh which was parking in the neighboring street, and she stopped next to Santa who was digging in his bag. The old man looked at her expectant face and smiled.
"Are we there?"
Tarin nodded.
Santa took a small package which was prepared on the sleigh's seat. "Then lead me!" he told her.
"I can't believe you told Santa!" griped Pika. "As if he didn't have enough to do!"
"But Santa cares about all the children - even those who do not believe in him," answered Tarin.
They reached the window of house number ten, Santa opened it with one touch of his gloved hand, and he peeked inside. Tarin was observing breathlessly from behind as his head disappeared in there and for a little while, only the faint noises of his fumbling could be heard. The Christmas lights painted a silhouette on his red cap.
Suddenly something fell off clattering. Tarin and Pika stared at each other terrified.
"Ooops..." murmured Santa.
A light was turned on and the snow fairy saw above Santa's shoulder as a child sat up in his bed, turned toward the window and looked at them with his mouth hanging open.
Santa waved to him smiling, closed the window and started back to his sleigh. Tarin was observing what the child was doing - he ran to the window, peering after Santa, then he opened his present - then she followed the old man.
"What happened?" she asked worriedly.
"Oh, nothing, I accidentally knocked off the candlestick from the window sill. No worries, the candle had gone out already," winked Santa.
Tarin and Pika fell behind, they looked at each other.
"He did it on purpose," declared Pika.
Tarin smiled a big smile. She was smiling even when they departed, and were already far away.

advent II

A kész karamellszószt négyfelé porciózom. A harmadik adaghoz hozzákeverem a fehércsokit. Végül, miután kissé hűlt, a negyedik adagba beleöntöm a balzsamecetet.
Temperálom a tejcsokit, elkészítem a burkokat.

Hunyorogva pásztázta a várost, és amikor a szarka éles kanyart vett jobbra, épp akkor vette észre ő is a sárgás ragyogást odalent. Követte társát – egy tágas, vasráccsal szegett erkélyre érkeztek. A levél az ablaküvegnek támasztva állt, címzésében arany betűkkel világított a Mikulás neve. Tarin elővette a kulcsát, kinyitotta az ablakot. Gondosan hajtogatott, gyöngybetűkkel írt levél került a kezébe. Elrakta a kabátja belső zsebébe, majd elrugaszkodott.
Tovább fürkészték a várost.
– Vedd elő a varázsport!
– kérdezte a gyermek.
Tarin keze elakadt félúton, ahogy a nagy szemekbe nézett.
– Tarin vagyok. Gyakorló hótündér. Én viszem el a leveledet a Mikulásnak – bökött a borítékra.
– Mit művelsz?! – sziszegte a szarka. – Ne beszélgess vele!
A kislány közelebb lépett. – Tényleg?! Létezik a Mikulás?
A tündérek mind tudnak repülni.
– Azta! – a kislány már ott állt az ablakpárkánynál. – Ott él az északi sarkon?
– Igen. És vannak manói. És az összes levelet elolvassa. Remélem, csak szép dolgokat írtál!
A gyermek buzgón bólogatott, Tarin kezébe adta a borítékot, aki eltette.
– Azonnal hagyd abba, és szórd rá a varázsport! – zsörtölődött a szarka.
– Pika a társam. Segít megkeresni a leveleket.
– Tarin!! – hördült föl a szarka.
– vonta kérdőre a szarka.
Tarin megfordult, tovább repült a következő fénylő ablakhoz. Pika szótlanul követte. Az ablakpárkányon aranyosan ragyogott az ott hagyott mézeskalács.

This time I made a variety of caramel bonbons: I got an order for five portions of caramel chocolates but I decided that it would be too boring so I'll come up with something. Thus, I made salty caramel, raspberry balsamic vinegar-caramel, coffee-caramel and white chocolate-caramel bonbons.

Ingredients:
250 gr sugar
200 ml cream
40 gr butter
40 gr honey
50 gr white chocolate
10 ml raspberry balsamic vinegar
sale
half spoonful of instant coffee
400 gr milk chocolate
food paint

Recipe:
I warm up and melt the sugar until I get a nice, amber caramel. Then I add the honey and butter, and the cream too in small portions. I divide the caramel cream into four portions. I put two pinches of salt into the first one. I add a small amount of instant coffee into the second one and stir it well until it dissolves. I prepare the third portion with the white chocolate. Finally, after it cools a bit, I pour the balsamic vinegar into the fourth portion.
I prepare two portions of bonbons. I decorate the first batch by sprinkling white and gold paint into the cavities. I paint the "background" of some of the bonbons with dark blue. For the second batch, I paint streaks of red, gold and pine green into the cavities.
I temper the milk chocolate and I prepare the shells. I fill them with the caramel creams, then I place the mold into the fridge. Finally, I seal the bonbons with tempered milk chocolate.

The sun appeared as a pale coin between the thick grey curls of the fog, only to disappear again a moment later. Pika glided noiselessly as if the fog had swallowed up sounds too. In his wake, Tarin was flying a bit higher in order to avoid antennas and chimneys. She scanned the town squinting and when the magpie took a right turn, she also noticed the yellow glow down below. She followed her companion - they arrived on a spacious balcony. The letter stood on the window sill, in the address Santa's name was sparkling with golden letters. Tarin took her key and opened the window. She found a carefully folded, beautifully calligraphed letter which she put into her inner pocket, then she took off.
They searched through the town. In the center, six and eight-story buildings lined up just like domino tiles. Here and there, certain windows glowed up; letters written for Santa Claus gleamed through the thick fog. Pika led Tarin to these windows in a random order; and she collected all letters into her pocket.
She was about to open the next window on the fifth floor when a face showed up inside. Both Tarin and the little girl froze: the child was staring at the floating lady outside while the latter did not even know how to proceed. During her short career, she had never been caught although she had heard the others say that this is the real "initiation".
"Do not panic," she heard the magpie's voice from behind. "Open the window!"
Tarin took out her key and approached the window with careful, slow movements; then she unlocked the latch. If possible, the little girl's eyes widened even more. She backed away but she didn't take her eyes off Tarin.
Pika laded on the window sill. "Take your magic powder! If you blow a pinch of it on her, she will believe that she had dreamt this."
The girl took a small boy from her pocket and took a pinch of the golden powder inside, then she carefully opened the window.
"Who are you?" asked the child.
Tarin's hand stopped mid-movement as she looked into her big eyes.
"My name is Tarin. I'm a snow fairy in training. I take your letter to Santa Claus," she pointed at the envelope.
"What are you doing?!" hissed the magpie. "Don't talk to her!"
The little girl stepped closer. "Really?! Does Santa really exist?" she asked in a confidential voice. "They said in the kindergarten that he's not real..."
"If snow fairies exist and they fly around among the houses, then why wouldn't Santa exist?" pointed out Tarin.
"How can you fly?"
"I was born this way. All fairies can fly."
"Wow!" the little girl was standing at the window. "Does he live in the North Pole?"
"Yes. And he has elves. And he reads all letters. I hope you wrote only nice things!"
The child nodded and placed the envelope into Tarin's hand, who put it away.
"Stop it immediately and sprinkle the magic powder on her!" griped the magpie.
"Is this your bird?" leaned out the window the little girl with a wide smile.
"Pika is my companion. He helps find the letters."
"Tarin!!" exclaimed the magpie.
"He also observes the children during the year," lifted her index finger Tarin. "He is Santa's eye." Before Pika could say anything, she went on: "When you wake up, all this will seem like a dream. This will remind you that it wasn't," she reached into her other pocket and took out a gilded gingerbread just like the ones she usually ate during traveling. She placed it inside on the window sill, then quickly blew the magic powder onto the child. The little girl's eyelids fluttered, she turned around without a word, went to her bed and lay down. Tarin locked the window.
"What was this good for?!" questioned her the magpie.
"I want her to know the truth."
"But..."
"Will anything change if one child knows it?! We expect them to believe in us, still we do everything in utter secret. Why are we surprised then, that more and more children lose their faith?"
Tarin turned around and she flew to the next glowing window. Pika followed her silently. The gingerbread left on the window sill was shining softly.

advent I.

magvak
100 gr tejcsoki

Temperálom a tejcsokit.

Tarin mellé telepedett, csizmás lábát a semmi felett lógázta.
– Melyik ablak az? – kérdezte.
A szarka előre bökött a csőrével. – Nem nehéz észrevenni… – morogta. – Három krampusz integet bentről.
– Óh, már látom! – nevetett fel Tarin. – Gyere, menjünk! – felröppent a faágról, a szomszéd utcában álló kertesház emeleti manzárdablaka felé szállt.
– Semmi kedvem ehhez – zsörtölődött a mellette suhanó szarka. – Gonosz kölyök, megdobott kővel.
– Ugyan, ugyan! – békítgette Tarin. – A rossz gyerekek is megérdemlik néha az ajándékot.
– De nem a Mikulástól! – kiáltott fel a szarka.
– Ne méltatlankodj, Pika! Majd én intézem a dolgot.
Nesztelenül landoltak a háztetőn, a szarka tollászkodott, míg Tarin bekukkantott az ablakon. Odabentről a három krampusz gúnyosan öltött rá nyelvet.
– kérlelte a krampuszokat Tarin.
A szarka a vállára röppent, csőrével előhúzta a nyakláncát, amelyen apró aranykulcs fityegett.
– Épp ezért kaptad ezt. Hogy figyeltél az eligazításon?!
Tarin könnyedén nevetett a szarka bosszúságán. – Túlságosan csábítóak voltak azok a mézeskalácsok!
Kikapta a kezükből a papírt, mire a három kisördög rakoncátlan kacagás kíséretében rebbent szét. Puff-puff-puff és csupán három apró füstpamacs maradt a nyomukban.
– Na ezt jól megcsinálták! – bosszankodott a lány.
Pika némi kárörömmel a hangjában vihogott. – Megmondtam: rossz gyereknek nem jár ajándék!
Tarin elszántan szorította össze az ajkait. Kilibbent az ablakon, visszazárta a kulcsával. Felrepült az égbe. Pika alig győzte követni.
– Most meg hová mész?! – kiáltott utána, ám Tarin válaszra sem méltatta.
Szétmálló, szürkésfehér felhők úsztak az égen, szürke szálakat szőve a kékségbe. Amint elérte az elsőt, a lány hozzáérintette az aranykulcsot. Megnyílt a felhő gyomra, hófehér pelyhek libegtek alá belőle – előbb egyesével, majd egyre sűrűbben. Tarin feléjük tárta a tenyerét, és amikor egy jó adag hó összegyűlt rajta, végighúzta a kezét a piszkos levélen.
S láss csodát! Lemállott a korom, csupán egy szürke-sáros folt maradt Tarin tenyerén. Ragyogó mosolyt vetett a vállán gubbasztó szarkára, aki zsörtölődve törődött bele a dolgokba.
– Irány az északi sark! – kiáltott Tarin, megfordult és célirányosan elszáguldott észak felé. Odalent a várost lassan belepte a hó.

Finally my favorite season and favorite month have arrived 💙 Of course, I had to make a chocolate package again for my kid's nursery group. This time I prepared different types of sweets than before as the little boy who had lactose and nut intolerance went away to kindergarten, and now no one has allergies. That makes things a bit easier :D But still, since we're talking about little children, I used only not-too-sweet, relatively healthy ingredients.

Ingredients:
dry fruits
nuts
100 gr milk chocolate
150 gr dark chocolate
Xmas candies
transfer sheet

Recipe:
I spread out the transfer sheet; cut up the dry fruits and prepare them on a small plate together with walnuts, almonds, raisins and dry blueberries. I make two different kinds of Christmassy decor candies mix. I temper the dark chocolate and portion it on the transfer sheet with a tablespoon. I smear the chocolate into small disks. I put four different types of fruits/nuts on each mendiant, and sprinkle the middle with candy mix. I put them in the fridge.
I prepare the dry plums and apricots. I temper the milk chocolate. I dip the apricots and place them on baking paper. With a trussing needle, I dip the plums in the chocolate too and put them on the paper to dry.

In a flurry of black-and-white feathers, a magpie landed on the naked branch and rattled noisily.
Tarin settled next to him and dangled her booted feel above the abyss.
"Which window is it?" she asked.
The magpie poked ahead with his beak. "Not hard to notice..." he grumbled. "Three Krampuses are waving from inside."
"Ah, I see it now!" laughed Tarin. "Come, let's go!" She flew up and floated toward the mansard window of a house in the neighboring street.
"I don't feel like doing this," groaned the magpie gliding next to her. "He's a naughty kid, he threw a stone at me."
"My, my," consoled him Tarin. "Even bad children deserve a present sometimes."
"But not from Santa!" cried the magpie.
"Don't be so cross, Pika! I'll deal with this."
They landed noiselessly on the roof; the magpie preened his feathers while Tarin peeped in the window. From inside, the three Krampuses poked their tongues at her. One of them snatched the letter from the window pane and started to tear it apart.
"No, wait!" exclaimed Tarin.
"They can't tear it up," enlightened her Pika, and he shook himself. "Only the recipient can open it or annihilate it."
"Open the window! Let me take the letter!" begged them Tarin.
The magpie flew on her shoulder and drew forth her necklace on which a tiny golden key dangled.
"That's why you got this. Why didn't you pay attention at the orientation?!"
Tarin laughed wholeheartedly at the magpie's irritation. "Those gingerbread cookies were way too tempting!"
She took off her necklace and touched the key to the window frame. The window snapped, then opened. Only then did Tarin realize what the Krampuses were doing: they unfolded the letter and pawed it with their sooty hands, making the writing unreadable. She snatched the letter away; the three little devils danced away with unruly laughter. Puff-puff-puff and only three small smoke puffs remained of them.
"Now they've done it!" fumed the girl.
Pika cackled with gloat in his voice. "I told you: naughty kids don't get presents!"
Tarin pursed her lips resolutely. She darted through the window, locked it back with her key. She flew up in the sky; Pika could barely keep up with her.
"Where are you going now?!" he shouted but Tarin ignored him.
Moldering, grey-white clouds swam in the sky, weaving grey threads into the blue. As soon as she reached the first one, the girl touched it with her golden key. The cloud's belly opened up; snow white flakes fluttered down - one by one initially, then ever more densely. Tarin opened her palm towards them and when a good amount of snow gathered on it, she drew her hand over the dirty letter.
And alas! The soot crumbled down; only a grey-muddy stain remained on Tarin's palm. She cast a glowing smile at the magpie crouching on her shoulder who resigned to the developments.
"Let's go to the North Pole!" cried Tarin; she turned back and sped northwards. Underneath, the city was slowly covered in snow.

Farsang // carnival

Once upon a time, there was a city. It was a quite ordinary city with bigger and smaller houses, pigeons on the streets and bridges arching over the river. And in the middle of this city stood a white castle. And in the green park of the castle stood a small bench, from where a stunning view opened on the old town and the river.

This was the contemplating spot of the Dragonmaster-Without-Dragon. The Dragonmaster, unlike the other ordinary citizens of the city, could see the shadows of kings who had once trodden the paths of the green park, he understood the whisper of the breeze and when he woke up at dawn and heard the roof tiles rattling, he knew that the night creatures that walk the roofs in the moonlight, are climbing back into the darkness to hide their delicate skin from the rays of the sun.

But even though the Dragonmaster perceived the creatures of the otherworld, he was lonely, because none of his friends, not one other person in the city could see them, and he was lonely as he had no dragon to tame and train.

One fine spring day the Dragonmaster was sitting on his bench, contemplating and waiting for something – even he himself didn’t know for what. The sky was crystal clear above him and the sunshine was warming the white walls of the castle that still kept the winter cold. Around, in the park, the trees and bushes pampered their tiny sprouts and sparrows squabbled among their branches. The fingers of the wind caressed the still dry and yellow grass, then it danced around the bench and whispered in the ear of the Dragonmaster.

He looked up and among the other, ordinary people, he saw a figure approaching.

She was a Barbarian, in ragged clothes and with long, unkempt hair. As soon as they cast an eye on each other, they knew their meeting was not a coincidence. She sat down on the bench of the Dragonmaster and in her presence he felt all her years spent with wandering in distant, wild lands, the wars that she’d fought in the past, and a strange yearning.

'That is right,' said the Barbarian. 'I come from a long journey, from a far-away kingdom. The wind told me that I would find you here.'

'Why were you looking for me?' asked the Dragonmaster.

'Because I have something that will complete both our lives.' She tossed her long hair back. 'I’ve been through many adventures and saw many places and knew many people. But my greatest wish, the one thing I crave for, I have never been able to get hold of, no matter how hard I tried or how far I went. But now that I found you, you can help me and in exchange you will get something that you have been yearning for.'

She dug into one of her deep pockets and took something out of it. This something was round and coarse and shone like a ruby flame in the sunlight.

The heart of the Dragonmaster skipped a beat.

'A dragon egg!' he whispered. 'I’ve been looking for dragon eggs for so many years, I went through the Devil’s Tunnel in the underworld, I swam in the depths of the Stormy Ocean, I even climbed the Fiery Peaks, but to no avail! Where did you find this one?'

'In the most unexpected place of all: after a battle I entered a calm, beautiful forest in the search of new adventures, when an old peasant crossed my path and warned me that there still might be dragons in that part of the wilderness. So I followed his direction and arrived to a pleasant clearing where a thin creek was flowing and flowers were growing in the river bed. But around the field the rocks looked like molten drops of metal, and I saw a red sparkle behind one of them.'

The Dragonmaster looked at the egg.

'I wonder why they left it behind. Can I hold it?'

'I will give it to you, but first you must promise one thing.'

'What is that?'

'When your dragon grows up, whenever I will want to fly with him, you will have to allow me, for that is my greatest wish of all.'

'I promise,' said the Dragonmaster and the Barbarian placed the egg in his hand.

'Now we have to wake him up and hatch the egg. You must stay with me, the dragon has to see you, otherwise he won’t let you touch him.'

'All right then. How do we wake him up?'

'We need the Midnight Fire for that.'

'You have a Midnight Fire in this city?' looked around the Barbarian frowning.

'No, not here, but I know where we can find it.'

So when the night descended on the city, the Dragonmaster and the Barbarian returned to the castle. Their path led to the excavations at the back of the park. They climbed through the fence and quickly made their way to the tunnels and holes that looked like dark cavities in the stone teeth of the ground. The Dragonmaster entered a narrow tunnel that ended in a dome-like space. He turned to the right, where a thin crack opened in the wall. Inside it was darker than in the vast space, darker than in the stomach of the Great Leviathan. They crept slowly in the thin, dark passage for a long while – they lost track of time, it seemed as if they had been walking for days. Sometimes they took a turn and the air got hotter and hotter as they approached the center of the earth.

From the fumes and fires of creation came forth the dragons and as the center of the earth still kept the heat of creation, its flames were able to give life to gemstones called dragon eggs. These flames broke to the surface in places where magic concentrated, but the Dragonmaster knew that he could find them only far, far below his city.

'We are almost there,' he told the Barbarian, and in that instant they arrived in a great hall, whose walls gleamed in red. The fire roared below them, the heat was unbearable, even breathing was painful.

The Dragonmaster crossed the hall and on the other side he found a tunnel leading even further down. In the next cave the stones were glowing and they could not proceed any further because poisonous steam filled the air. So the Dragonmaster built a nest of the burning stones and he placed the egg in the middle. They covered their noses and waited, their eyes fixed on the egg.

Nothing moved, only the lights were dancing on the walls and sometimes new flames flared up on a stone.

The Barbarian shifted from one foot to the other.

'Maybe the dragon died?'

'Shhh, it takes time,' replied the Dragonmaster.

'I’m not a patient person, especially in a place like this.'

'Do you want to fly with the dragon or not?'

To this question the Barbarian closed her eyes and immersed in a dream about flying while the Dragonmaster kept on waiting, leaning even closer to the egg.

The only sound that remained was the silent purring of the flames of the Midnight Fire and the snake-like hissing of fumes, and sometimes the earth tolled like an enormous gong whose sound resonated in the guts instead of the ears.

'There you go! The first crack!' exclaimed the Dragonmaster.

They were both staring at the egg while tiny cracks appeared, one after the other, and ruby pieces of the shell fell on the rocks like drops of blood. First the nose, then the head, the long, graceful neck and the body wriggled out of the egg. The newborn dragon was not bigger than a hand and he curiously looked at them with his shiny, golden eyes.

The Dragonmaster crouched down and held out his palm towards him.

The creature timidly smelled his fingers but he seemed to like the smell because he quickly ran up the Dragonmaster’s arm, to his shoulder, where he nested himself close to his neck and after all these hardships, fell asleep.

The Dragonmaster stood up, he smiled at the Barbarian.

'We can go back now,' he said.

They left the great halls of the center of the earth and walked up the dark passage. When they arrived to the excavation site, it was still night: the light of the stars mingled with the lights of the city, but in the East a faint grey stripe glistened.
They stood there for a minute, absorbing the sight of the sleeping city, then they walked down the hill of the castle: the Dragonmaster-With-Dragon and the Barbarian.

Advent IV

Hm hm :)))

Hozzávalók:
a dióvajhoz:
fél narancs reszelt héja
2-3 kanál pisztáciaolaj
150 gr dió
60-70 gr porcukor
fahéj
A ganache-hoz:
20 ml portói bor
10 ml tejszín
50 gr tejcsoki

Ezután néhány mélyedést szivacs segítségével sötétkékre festek, a többit hagyom simán. Temperálom a fehércsokit, elkészítem a burkokat.

– A kék szalagomat – felelte a manócska.
Erik manó bólintott, kiszaladt a konyhából, Lámácskát a fülénél fogva húzta maga mögött. Már messziről látszott, hogy ömlik a gőz a fürdő ajtajából: néhány manó épp a rézkádakban dagonyázott.
– Müüü müüü!  Mondta Lámácska.
– Tudom, te nem jöhetsz be, nehogy nedves legyen a szőröd – Erik letette őt az ajtó mellé.
Besomfordált a fürdőbe, előbb a vetkőzőt nézte végig, aztán a kádak körül vizsgálódott.
– A kék szalagomat keresem, tudod, amit mindig a nyakamban hordtam. Nem keveredett ide véletlenül?
A manó összevonta a szemöldökét.
– Anyag, hosszúság, színárnyalat?
– Selyem, ilyen hosszú – tárta szét a karjait Erik manó.
A felügyelő végül kifaggatta beosztottjait is, ám egyikük sem emlékezett csokifoltos, türkizkék selyemszalagra.
– A szalagom!

The last batch of bonbons, this time for Christmas :) Three days ago I made a proper portion of walnut butter (it is heavenly, I can only recommend it!), thinking that it will be good with toast, pancakes etc. But of course I had to try it in bonbons too and considering the occasion, instead of boring rum, I combined it with Port wine ganache. Hm hm :)))

Ingredients:
for the walnut butter:
orange peel
2-3 spoonfuls of pistachio oil
150 gr walnut
60-70 gr icing sugar
cinnamon
for the ganache:
20 ml Port wine
10 ml cream
50 gr milk chocolate
one small spoon of butter

180 gr white chocolate
food paint

Recipe:
I fry the walnuts: I warm them in a frying pan without adding grease or oil, until they have a nice smell and their skin starts to peel off. Then I pour them in a dishtowel, bundle and rub them a bit, thus most of the brown skin comes off. I put the walnuts into a food grinder together with icing sugar and cinnamon (the quantity of these two depends on individual taste - this time I wanted to make them a bit sweeter, therefore I put a bit more sugar). I shred the peel of half an orange into it and add 3-4 small spoonful of pistachio oil. I grind  the mixture until it becomes creamy; then I fill a small jar with it and close the jar.
For the ganache, I pour the cream and the wine into a bowl. I melt 50 gr milk chocolate and a small spoon of butter; I combine them with the liquid until I get a smooth cream.
In the cavities of the mold, I paint one stroke of gold and one stroke of bronze. Then I paint some of the cavities to dark blue with the help of a sponge. I temper the white chocolate; I prepare the shells. I put walnut butter in the bottom, and on that, one layer of wine ganache. I temper the leftover white chocolate and I seal the bonbons.

Erik the little elf stepped out of his room.
"Come on, Lama, we'll look for it!"
He took his little friend, the grey furry door-stopper lama and off he went.
First, he visited the kitchen where his mom was preparing chocolate lollipops, while other elves were baking cookies, stirring foam and cream. Erik went around the ovens, peeped under the tables, among the chairs, into the storage room.
"What are you looking for?" asked his mum
"My blue ribbon," answered the tiny elf.
"Oh" the elf lady was chewing on her lip. "I don't even remember when I saw it last time. Check the bathroom maybe, perhaps you lost it there."
Erik nodded and ran out of the kitchen; he pulled Lama by his ears. Steam was gushing through the door of the bathroom: some elves were taking a bath in the copper tubs.
"Müüü müüü!" said Lama.
"Yes, I know, you can't come in otherwise your fur will get wet." Erik put him down beside the door.
He sneaked into the bathroom, first he checked the dressing room; then he examined the bathing room.
"Have you seen my blue silk ribbon?" he asked the bath attendant elf who wore his long beard in a knot so that it wouldn't reach the constantly wet floor.
"Unfortunately not," he shook his head.
Erik returned to Lama disappointedly. He, however, greeted him skipping excitedly.
"Müüü müü!"
He pulled his butt clumsily along the labyrinth of Santa's palace until they reached an enormous hall.
"You are so clever!" cried the elf; he grabbed the lama's ear and dragged him along into the gift wrapping workshop.
Here one could find everything! Christmas-themed wrapping papers, ribbons, bows, gift tags and ornaments, stickers, tapes - a real heaven for a young elf. Erik forgot about the purpose of his visit and walked around starry-eyed, until Lama nudged him with his nose. Then he finally roused and stepped to one of the fore-elves.
"I am looking for my blue ribbon, you know, that one I used to wear on my neck. Has it maybe ended up here?"
The elf knitted his eyebrows. "Material, length, hue?"
"Silk, this long," Erik stretched out his arms. "Turquoise... I think. There's a small chocolate stain on one of its ends because I accidentally dripped on it..."
The fore-elf led him to a row of shelves where ribbons of various size and fabric were arranged according to shade and hue. They searched for the turquoise ones; looked through them, however - even though shorter-longer leftovers were also tucked in by the wrappers - they could not find Erik's ribbon. Finally, the fore-elf interrogated his underlings, but none of them remembered a turquoise ribbon with a chocolate stain on it.
The sad Erik elf and his little friend left the workshop. They walked around in the palace a bit more, but finally the elf's mum came to pick him up, she took him to have dinner and a bath, then tucked him in bed.
"Don't be so sad!" she consoled Erik. "Sooner or later that ribbon will be found!"
Three days later it was Christmas day! After they delivered all the presents around the word, the elves gathered in the main room of Santa's palace. It was time to give presents to each other!
Santa took the gifts one by one from under the Christmas tree and he called the recipients. Erik was on pins and needles - when finally it was his turn! As soon as he jumped in front of Santa, he froze: a blue bow decorated his package - and on one end, there was the chocolate stain.
"My ribbon!" he cried and he immediately took it off and hung it on his neck. But then the surprise came: he opened the gift and found a real tent in it! He set it up immediately and moved in it together with Lama to drink some hot chocolate.
His mum and Santa Claus peeped in the tent at the same time.
"Merry Christmas!" they shouted.

Advent III

Piros ételfestékkel kifestem a bonbonforma mélyedéseit. Egy fogpiszkálóval karácsonyi mintákat karcolok bele, azután fehérrel is átfestem a mélyedéseket, hogy a minta láthatóvá váljon.
Temperálom a maradék étcsokit, elkészítem a bonbonok burkát.

Itt a Tél!
Nyomában fütyörészve érkezett Fagy Jankó, áttetsző alakja jégkristályként csillogott a felhők közül előbukkanó Hold fényében. El-eltűnődött valamely ablak előtt, ahová a háziak ragyogó karácsonyi díszfényeket aggattak.
A keresztutcában, ahol a templom kőépülete állt, a feszület mellett vadrózsabokor nőtt.
Rájuk telepedtek a néma fagybaglyok, fehéren világító szemeikkel végignéztek a világon.
S a világ az éjszaka ellenére is fehér volt: hó ült a házakon, kerteken, utakon, fákon, csend telepedett a városra, csak a szél dudorászott a tűlevelek között. Megérkezett a Tél.

For the third Sunday of Advent, I created these chocolates below. My birthday was this week (I aaam getting old :D) and many guests came. So mainly they ate them up. I received the pomegranate syrup from Turkey, it is very tasty: it has a sour-savory-sweet taste, which goes well with chocolate.

Ingredients:
100+200 gr dark chocolate
30 ml pomegranate syrup
20 ml cream
one small spoon butter
food paint

Recipe:
I pour the cream and the syrup into a bowl and mix them. I melt 100 gr dark chocolate, then the butter too. I combine them with the pomegranate syrup.
I paint the cavities of the mold with red food paint. With a toothpick, I carve Christmassy patterns into them, then I paint the cavities with white too, in order to get a nice contrast.
I temper the leftover dark chocolate and I prepare the bonbon shells. After they get solid, I fill them with the ganache and I place the mold in the fridge for an hour. Finally, I seal the bonbons.

Chilly wind whooshed through the street and shook the bare branches of the trees.
– Wake up, wake up! Winter has arrived!
In his wake, Jack Frost came whistling; his transparent figure sparkled as an ice crystal in the Moon's light. Occasionally he stopped in front of a house; he drew flowery ornaments on its windows with his long, graceful fingers. He breathed on the thuja trees: hoarfrost appeared on the edge of their branches. He was daydreaming in front of the windows where the inhabitants hung glowing Christmas lights. These colorful lights slipped on Jack Frost's face, then they dissolved dazzling.
Behind Jack, the frost owls arrived; every wing stroke let out fine feathers
– the snowflakes. Their flakes gathered on branches, fences, window sills, then slowly on the pavement, the road and the roofs. The owls flew in a dark flock; their wings dimmed the sky; their rustle weaved the deep, dark, mysterious melody of winter.
The wind snatched up and whirled their flakes, swept patterns into the snow that gathered on the road. He piled it up on the corner of the street, at the stone fence of a house. Mumbling, a tiny creature crawled out from under: his long beard had the color of the snow; he could barely pull his long, pointy hat out. He held a huge broom in his hands, with which he started to sweep the snow.
In the next street, where the stone church stood; a brier grew
next to the crucifix. Hearing the call of the wind, a hand reached out from its branches. Among the meandering, dry, thorny twigs, a fairy appeared: her skirt was weaved from rose leaves and cobweb; her long hair spread across the branches; hoarfrost crowned her forehead.
Finally, the giant pine trees shook themselves; their black heads reached toward the Moon; they shook the snow off their enormous arms and sighed. From among all the trees, only they woke up to the call of the wind in order to wait for the solstice in the black hours, together with the other mystical creatures of Winter. The cold pine giants bowed majestically; they snatched at the clouds which flew too low so that their garments got caught on their spiny branches just like cotton. The frost owls settled on them; they looked around with their white, glowing eyes.
And the world became white even despite the night hour: snow covered the houses, gardens, streets, trees; silence enveloped the city; only the wind hummed among the pine needles. Winter has arrived.
