Moonstruck

Húsvéti tojások festése közben rájöttem, hogy igazából ezt élvezet csinálni. Sosem voltam igazi festő (a rajztanárom azt mondta mindig, hogy az ecsettel is rajzolok), de hát folyékony kakaóvajjal csak festeni lehet, rajzolni nem annyira :D Olyan jó keverni a színeket, egymásba folyatni őket és vezetgetni, hogy kiadják a megfelelő mintát... Külön pikantériája az egésznek, hogy az eredetivel ellentétben véges az élettartama, ez a pillanat művészete, amit utána jóízűen elfogyaszthat bárki.
A festéshez azért gömb formát választottam, mert azt akartam, hogy úgy nézzen ki, mint egy üveggömb vagy egy varázsbuborék. Mivel az eredeti képen is a fények-csillámlás dominál, fehérrel vázoltam fel a jelenetet. A tündérkék megfestésével kezdtem, azután jött a hold, majd a virágok. Végül több réteg sötétkék a háttérhez. Összesen hét színt használtam (sárga, fehér, tengerészkék, narancs, rózsaszín, türkiz, mohazöld). A legnagyobb kihívást a finom részletek megfestése jelentette: pl. a tündérek szárnyai, amelyek az eredeti festményen áttetszően csillogók. Bár igen vékony ecsettel festettem, így is néha utána kellett javítgatni fogpiszkálóval.
A gömb másik felére majdnem 4 éves kisfiam festett egy absztrakt Pókembert 😁

While I was painting Easter eggs I realized that I enjoy doing this. I've never been a real painter (my teacher used to tell me that I was drawing even with the brush), but it's impossible to draw with liquid cocoa butter :D It's so nice to mix and blend the colors, to lead them where I want the pattern... And the fact that this is the art of the fleeting moment as one can eat it afterwards, gives it a special thrill.
I picked a plastic globe for painting because I wanted the picture to look like a glass globe or a magic bubble. Since highlights and glitter dominates the original painting, I outlined the scene with white. I started by painting the fairies, then the Moon, and finally the flowers. I added two layers of navy blue for the background. Altogether I used seven colors (yellow, white, navy blue, orange, pink, turquoise, moss green). Painting the delicate details was the most challenging, such as the wings of the fairies which are transparent-glistening in the original picture. Even though I was painting with a very thin brush, I still needed to fix some smaller mistakes with a toothpick.
On the other side, my almost-4-year-old son painted an abstract Spider man 😁
