Sun&Moon

Kedves barátaim esküvőjére készült ez a csokimaszk - sajnos végül nem ilyen formában kapták meg, mivel a nagy melegben egy egész picikét deformálódott XD de a lényeg szándék, nem igaz? :D Mivel tudtam, hogy érdeklődnek a keleti vallások és filozófia iránt, valami olyasmit akartam ráfesteni, ami az egységet, az ellentétek harmóniáját fejezi ki - mivel ők épp ezt testesítik meg a való életben is :) és hát mi lehetne erre alkalmasabb, mint a Hold és a Nap?! 

A maszk elkészítése viszonylag egyszerű, csak egy habzsák, csoki és lüszterpor szükséges hozzá. A formát kézműves boltban vettem, lánykorában gipszforma lehetett.

Hozzávalók:
70 gr fehércsoki
170 gr étcsoki
lüszterpor

Elkészítés:

Temperálom a fehércsoki, majd habzsákba töltöm. Megrajzolom a mintát - előbb a Holdat, aztán a Napot. Az esetleges elmaszatolódó vonalakat vattapálcával törölgetem föl. Amikor a csoki megszilárdult, olvasztott kakaóvaj és lüszterpor keverékével kifestem a mintát: a Napot arannyal és bronzzal, a Holdat világoskékkel.

Temperálom az étcsokit, beletöltöm a formába. Egy-két percig körbelötyögtetem, hogy a széleket is beborítsa a csoki, és egyenletes réteget képezzen mindenhol. Végül kiöntöm a felesleget, és lehúzom a formáról a maradékot. Tíz percig fejjel lefelé állítom a formát, hogy kicsepegjen, azután hűtőbe teszem. Amikor elkészült a maszk, könnyedén kipottyan a formából.

I prepared this chocolate mask for the wedding of my friends - unfortunately in the end they received it in a different shape, because in the heat it got deformed a tiny bit XD but intention is what matters after all, right? :D Since I knew that they are interested in Asian religions and philosophy, I wanted to paint something on it that represents unity and the harmony of contrasts - because they themselves are the embodiment of that in real life :) and what else would be a better symbol of that, if not the Sun and the Moon?!

Preparing the mask is relatively easy, only a piping bag, chocolate and lustre dust are needed. I bought the mould in a creative hobby shop; it must have been a plaster mould originally.

Ingredients:
70 gr white chocolate
170 gr dark chocolate
lustre dust

How to prepare:

I temper the white chocolate and pour it in the piping bag. I draw the pattern - first the Moon, then the Sun. Smudged lines are cleaned with a cotton stick. When the chocolate sets, I paint the pattern with the combination of lustre dust and melted cocoa butter: gold and bronze for the Sun, light blue for the Moon.

I temper the dark chocolate, I pour it in the mould. I slosh it around for some minutes so that the chocolate covers the edges and forms an even layer everywhere. Finally I pour out the excess and I scrape off the leftovers. I set the mould upside down for ten minutes, while it is still dripping, then I put it in the fridge. When the mask is done, it will fall out of the mould easily.
