Dead Daisies

Na most van ez a Dead Daisies nevű banda, ún. supergroup, vagyis olyan zenészekből áll össze, akik más együttesekkel vagy szólókarrierrel már korábban megalapozták a hírnevüket. Jelenlegi felállás szerint a tagok Marco Mendoza, John Corabi, Deen Castronovo, David Lowy, és az én gyenge pontom, Doug Aldrich. Zenéjük afféle életvidám, tökös rákenroll, az alábbi videón belehallgathattok :)

A Daisies nem is olyan rég látogatást tett Budapesten, amikor is annyira jó arcok voltak, hogy az első száz a helyszínre érkező látogatónak szerveztek a koncert végén egy gyors kis meet&greetet - nos egészen véletlenül (természetesen) ebbe az első százba mi is épp beleestünk. Ennek eredményeként kaptunk fejenként egy-egy posztert, pengetőket, matricát, no és persze aláírást, kézfogást és kedves szavakat a zenészektől. Amikor felhoztam Dougnak, hogy valójában már találkoztunk egyszer Glenn Hughes koncertjén a színfalak mögött, ő egészen hihetelen mód emlékezett erre - vagy legalábbis volt olyan kedves, hogy úgy tett, mintha XD

Lényeg a lényeg, a Daisies ismét jön Budapestre, méghozzá jövő héten! Ha tudtok, menjetek el helyettem is, és vidámkodjatok egyet a zenéjükre :) 

Az már persze nem újdonság, hogy gyakran készítek együttesek által inspirált csokikat (lásd a Struts által ihletett bonbonokat, Glenn csokiját, vagy a Hot Space borítót csokiból :)) Szóval addig is itt a DD-logó koponya :D Ha már beszereztem a koponyaformát, muszáj volt erre is felhasználni!

So there's this band called Dead Daisies, a so-called supergroup, which comprises of musicians who have established their fame with other bands or solo career. According to the current line-up, the members are Marco Mendoza, John Corabi, Deen Castronovo, David Lowy and my weak point, Doug Aldrich. Their music is a kind of vibrant, cool rock'n'roll, just listen to their song below! :)

The Daisies visited Budapest some time ago and they were so cool that they organized a quick meet&greet for the first hundred fans who arrived to the venue. Well, totally coincidentally (naturally) we were among the first hundred. As a result we received one poster/person, guitar picks, stickers and of course signatures, handshakes and kind words from the musicians. When I brought up to Doug that actually we'd met already in the backstage at Glenn Hughes' concert, he remembered that - or at least he was nice enough to pretend so XD

The point is - the Daisies are coming to Budapest again, moreover, next week! It is not news that I like to prepare chocolate inspired by musicians (see my Struts bonbons, Glenn's chocolate, or the Hot Space cover made of chocolate :)) Until then, here's the DD-logo skull :D I've bought that skull mould, so I had to use it also for this!

Hozzávalók:

100 gr fehércsoki

15 gr tejcsoki

lüszterpor

cukorvirág

Elkészítés:

Temperálom a tejcsokit, kifestem a koponya szemüregét és orrlyukát. Temperálom a fehércsokit, a koponyaforma mindkét oldalába öntök egy kicsit, és szétkenem, ügyelve, hogy a szélekre is elég jusson. Hagyom megszilárdulni a csokit.

Miután a koponya két fele kijött a formából, felforrósított késsel elegyengettem a széleket, hogy könnyen összeragaszthassam őket. Temperálok egy adag fehércsokit, azzal előbb beragasztom a cukorvirágot a szemüregbe, majd ecset segítségével végigkenem a fél koponya szélét, és összeillesztem a két felet.

Ezüst lüszterrel befestem a koponyát. A "vért" temperált fehércsoki és vörös lüszterpor keverékével készítettem, hagytam lecsurogni a koponya tetejéről, végül kakaóvaj és vörös lüszter keverékével fröcsköltem össze.

Ingredient:

100 gr white chocolate

15 gr milk chocolate

luster dust

candy flower

Recipe:

I temper the milk chocolate; I paint the eye sockets and the nostril of the skull. I temper the white chocolate and I pour a bit into both halves of the mould. I smear it all around, including the brims. I leave it until the chocolate sets.

After the two halves of the skull came out of the mould, with a heated knife I smooth the brims so that it will be easier to glue them together. I temper some more white chocolate; first I glue the candy flower in the eye socket, then with a brush I smear melted chocolate on the brim of one half of the skull and I stick the two halves together.

I paint the skull with silver luster dust. I make "blood" by mixing white chocolate and red luster dust and I leave it to trickle down from the top of the skull; finally I sprinkle it with the mixture of melted cocoa butter and red luster dust.
